26 October 2026 · GREATER News
The European IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship takes place from Wednesday 28 October to Sunday 1 November 2026 at the PalaPellicone in Lido di Ostia, Rome. Registration is closed because the tournament reached capacity, and the brackets are already out.
Key dates
- 18 October: registration deadline (it closed early because the event was full).
- 19 to 21 October: corrections by athletes and coaches.
- 24 October: official schedule and brackets published.
- 28 October to 1 November: competition.
What's on each day
According to the IBJJF pre-schedule (it may change; you must be ready to compete at any time on your assigned day):
- Wednesday 28: adult blue belt.
- Thursday 29: blue master, men's purple master 1 and adult brown.
- Friday 30: men's adult purple, women's purple master 1, purple master 2 and black master 1 and 2.
- Saturday 31: purple master 3 to 7, brown master and the first rounds of adult black.

In men's adult black belt, brackets with 9 or more competitors start on Saturday, and the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals are on Sunday. In women's, divisions run up to the semi-finals on Saturday and the final is on Sunday.
Brackets and official schedule
The brackets are on bjjcompsystem.com, the IBJJF tool for following each division, with the match order and the assigned mat. It's worth checking them the day before: times are estimates and athletes must be in the bullpen at least one hour before their division.
Venue and admission
The championship is held at the PalaPellicone (Viale della Stazione di Castel Fusano, 30, Lido di Ostia, Rome). Spectator admission is free. Banners, food, pets and professional cameras are not allowed, and live-streaming matches on social media is prohibited.
Rules worth remembering
- Weigh-in is in kilos right before the first match, with a single attempt: if you're over, you're out of the division.
- You need an active IBJJF membership and an official photo ID.
- The open class is for the top three in each division; in adult black belt everyone can enter.
- Adult black belts need a predominantly white rashguard and a black one for the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.
