Abu Dhabi World Pro 2026: dates, divisions and how to watch

29 October 2026 · GREATER News

The 18th Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship, the "World Pro", runs from 9 to 21 November 2026 at Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi. It is 13 days of competition in blocks (amateur, para jiu-jitsu, youth, kids, masters and professionals), with the professional division from 19 to 21 November and 3 million dirhams in prize money.

What is on each day

The Emirati federation splits the championship into six back-to-back tournaments, all at Mubadala Arena. This is the schedule on its official website:

Who organises it and how many athletes are expected

It is organised by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu & MMA Federation (UAEJJF) and is the final event of the Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Pro (AJP) tour, which runs tournaments around the world during the season. According to the organisers, last year's edition brought together more than 10,000 athletes from over 130 countries, and they expect around 12,000 this time. The announced prize pool is 3 million dirhams (AED).

The AJP uses its own rulebook, which is not the IBJJF one. If your students usually compete in IBJJF events, such as the IBJJF World No-Gi 2026 in Las Vegas or the IBJJF European Championship 2027 in Lisbon, they should go over the AJP rules before registering.

Registration

Each of the six tournaments has its own registration page on the federation's events website (events.uaejjf.org), which also links to the AJP calendar. Deadlines, fees and seat quotas per division are listed there. We do not repeat them here because we could not check them on the official page today: look them up directly before registering anyone.

Do not confuse it with the Ju-Jitsu World Championship in August

In August 2026 Abu Dhabi hosted the JJIF Ju-Jitsu World Championship (1 to 9 August) in the same arena, which is a different federation and a different discipline. The November World Pro is the Emirati federation's Brazilian jiu-jitsu championship and the one that closes the AJP season.
